HAIR to some women is thier crowning jewls. my grandmother would die if anything happened to her hair. i personally have had quite an adventure with my hair. and being a black girl its no question that my hair is a huge piece of work. and it is. its a world wide known fact that there is a very small number of black women in the competitive swimming world. me and my twin sister probably make up about 5 percent of them (exageration of course, or at least i hope). i cant tell you how many parties ive been to full of black people and had to explain that yes, this is my real hair; and yes, i do swim; but no, the chlorine doesnt burn my hair out. i swear whoever told these people water could do that is absolutely crazy.

I AM...
-Female
-Black
-A swimmer
-Beautiful
-Funny (obviously)
-Smart in my own way
And all of these things define me. I love my life and I've been through a lot but the craziness that happened to me has made me who I am right now. And this blog is here to share some of those things with the world.
